Motherhood and Money.
The old saying is we don’t need money, if we’ve got love. Well, add 4 kids to the mix, and let me tell you, you are going to need money every single day of the year!
So I have decided to start a blog, about all my adventures, or rather, misadventures, with money.
Today M had his wisdom teeth extracted! Around the clock advil and tylenol for at least the next 24 hours. You can imagine how thrilled I was to discover we were out of Tylenol when we got home! 😬
Luckily hubby was making supper (phewf!) so after starting a load of laundry – crap – I have to move it to the dryer – I ran out to the local Superstore and grabbed some Tylenol. And some Zylactin for my cold sore. And some coffee creamer for work. And bananas. And Milk To Go coffee flavour…. I’m addicted to that stuff…
Well, that was a 50 dollar quick grocery grab. Superstore is a dangerous place! I didn’t dare go near the clothing section, so many beautiful fabrics, colors, and textures.
I also stopped in at Value Village and bought a book because I had a 30% off coupon. I should have bought a book for me, or not bought a book at all. I bought my daughter a book, Never Be Bored Again. 👀 She wasn’t impressed. Imagine that. I could have kept THAT money in the bank! Only library books for her from now on!
I just don’t know how families make ends meet nowadays.
I will write again when I spend more money. I’m off to throw the laundry into the dryer.
